The Innovation Systems department is one of the top research institutes for foresight and forward looking activities worldwide, with a long history of research projects, including the coordination of the European Foresight Platform and the International Foresight Academy. It focuses on innovation research concerning the grand challenges of the future, such as security, resource scarcity, increasing complexity of social and natural systems or globalization.
AITs core competency in DANTE is deep web and dark net mining and using this to detect terrorist networks and their financial activities on the internet.
